Wednesdays with Amy–Recycled Bride, not just for budget conscious brides–Savannah Event Designer–Harvey Designs

I overheard the ladies in the shop talking about a newly found website, Recycled Bride, where brides can go to buy and sell gently used wedding items.  Well, of course I had to check it out and see if it was worth using as a resource for containers, vases, etc.  If you take the time to sift through all of the votive candles, cake toppers and cheesy silk flower arrangements, there are some really good high-end buys.  What rental business wouldn’t want to scoop up 200 Phillip Stark Louis Ghost Chairs for 50.00 each.  You can’t even rent them for less than 50.00-60.00 each.

Some items appear to be new, but advertised as reduced from the manufacturers or designers.  This Badgley Mischka Couture Pearl Bracelet is offered at 275.00 instead of 570.00.

Although you should be careful and compare prices for new items versus used items, I did find these 12″ x 108″ Damask table runners available in several colors for 4.25 each.  I can’t even buy the fabric for that amount not to mention the time sewing.

Probably most brides prefer the whole experience of shopping for the dress and the oohing and awing over them.  But there are some brides that know what they want, don’t mind that the dress has been gently worn and realize that they are getting a designer dress for a steal.  The bride that wore this lovely Monique Lhuillier  dress is asking 3,000.00 instead of the original 5,800.00.

I had to include this incredible Platinum Art Deco Vintage 5.41 ct Diamond Ring circa 1915-20.  It is a mere 17,500.00, but what a ring!!

As always, thanks for reading and have an inspiring Wednesday.  Remember to follow us on twitter and friend us on facebook.
